The prodcut arrive rolled up and packed into a box.
  I opened and untied the strings and unrolled. The pad is thick and made from recyclable cotton.
color is Espresso with matching rope and solid wood.
Rope is braided and forms a loop so you can hang the hammock.

I would not leave the prodcut outside.
I think the rope is thin and the element would weaken the rope.
 My cat took over the chair he loves it. I set the chair up in the front room .I hung it from a hook.
I turn the airconditioner on the cat love to swing in it.

No hardware  included to hang the hammock, so you need to buy a hook.
Measurement are 32 x 38.5 x 55 inches Holds up to 200 LBS.
I am a short person and the hammock fits me perfectly.

prodcut appears to be of great quality.
I recommend the hammock. May not be perfect for everyone.
