Design for hard cheese But a friend told me to freeze the soft cheese until it hard then place the cheese in the grater and it will work.
I have not tried that.
The handle became hard to turn half way through grating.
I like that I am able to take apart and clean.
Just unscrew the handle and remove the blade.
Dishwasher safe.
