I purchased this lantern at a discount for my honest opinion of the product.

To use the lantern unscrew and pop open to become a lantern.
When using as a flashlight folds down.
I ran into a problem the lantern wouldn't unfold. It was stuck i tried every thing to open it.
 So I used the lantern as a flashlight.
I have emailed the company waiting on a replay.
 The product is light wight and easy to carry.
Has a bright light that allows you to see a couple of feet a head of you.
I recommend this light for your backpack.
