 Dishwasher safe. On the end of the cutter is a red tab that locks the cutter.
I was impress with how easy and quick the cutter cut through the fruit.
The cutter is great for  cutting fruit and vegetables for kabobs.

I recommend the 2-1 cutter it makes life so much easier.
