This a great tool for when kids are sick.
I love that it is waterproof. My nephew had a high fever I place him in cold bath to reduce the temperature and it worked.  No worry about worrying the thermometer if you near water.
I placed the thermometer in a glass of water to test this out and the display showed the last temperature. So It is what it says waterproof.
