Simply push down to lock the step stool.
On the side of the stool are the instructions.
The handle pulls up and the stool clasps.
I am happy with the stool it holds mt 150 wight and doesn't not wobble.
Step stool holds up to 350 LBS.
9" tall so wont take up much room.
Great for adults and kids. I used the stool for my little ones.
They can't reach the faucet and the stool helps them wash their hands and brush their teeth at night.
Hate it when I can't reach stuff and my husband is always gone so no more worries,I can reach the top shelve of cupboard when using the step stool .
So far I like the prodcut if anything changes my mind I will update.
Only concern is I Worry about the kids pinching her finger in the flap as it closes.
So far that has not happened.
